Individuals who suspect or witness illegal, unethical, or inappropriate behavior are encouraged to report such incidents without fear of retaliation.
Whistleblowers should promptly inform their immediate supervisor of the suspected or actual occurrence. If the Whistleblower feels uncomfortable reporting to their supervisor, they may escalate the matter to the next highest level of management or to an appropriate Board committee or member.
Reports may be made with the Whistleblower’s identity or anonymously.
Whistleblowers will not face retaliation or retribution for reporting in good faith—defined as reporting without malicious intent to harm another individual or the organization. However, any Whistleblower who submits a report not made in good faith may be subject to disciplinary action, which could include termination of their relationship with the Board or organization, or other legal measures to protect the organization’s reputation and that of its Board and staff.
